Unsichtbares Handwerk

The research project INVISIBLE CRAFTSMANSHIP traces the stories of Viennese craft businesses and relates them to the architectural, social, and economic development of the city. The project explores the role of production culture in Vienna. In the course of the research, craft businesses and their cooperation networks are explored, their specific knowledge is documented and collected in a map on a website. With the help of various communication formats such as exhibitions, city walks and workshops, the (re)discovered craftsmanship in the urban space and beyond is made visible and tangible for an interested audience.
