Valentina Karga, born in Chalkidiki, is a Greek artist and architect based in Berlin. After receiving her master’s in architecture from the University of Thessaly, she enrolled at the Graduate School at the University of the Arts Berlin. Karga’s projects often strive for engagement and participation, support the common good, and deal with aspects of sustainability. In exchange with the participantsof DIY workshops and through the process of building prototypes, shedesigns alternatives for societal structures – for example for economic and educational institutions. Karga is a founding member of Collective Disaster, an interdisciplinary group that works at the intersection of art, architecture, and the social sphere.
