20 emerging design positions outline perspectives for the future.

designforum Wien is turning 20! As part of the 20th edition of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, designaustria will present 20 contemporary perspectives over the course of 20 days from designers in their 20s – between the ages of 20 and 29 – who view design as a tool for asking questions, taking a stand, and actively shaping social development. The exhibition, featuring product and industrial design, graphic design and illustration, as well as social design, paints a multifaceted picture: curious, experimental, and reflective. It asks: What can design do for our future? As an international complement to 20 × 20, the exhibition FUTURES WORTH LIVING features works by young designers from across Europe that demonstrate how design can contribute to ecological and social transformation. This exhibition is part of NEXT GEN DESIGN, a European program within the framework of the New European Bauhaus.
