A conversation on how design can contribute to well-being, inclusion, and more caring ways of living.

A conversation exploring the relationship between design, material culture, and care, and how the objects, materials, spaces, and rituals that shape our everyday lives can contribute to well-being, inclusion, and more caring ways of living. The conversation is bringing together perspectives from design, health, research, craft, industry, and media. Rather than a conventional panel, the conversation unfolds over coffee. Coffee is one of our most familiar everyday rituals, a moment to pause, meet, exchange, and connect. During the talk, guests will drink together from “Humain”, an inclusive coffee cup system developed with people living with rheumatoid arthritis, occupational therapists, designers, and craftspeople. The object we are talking about becomes part of the conversation. The cup is held, used, and experienced, opening a discussion about how seemingly ordinary objects can influence autonomy, dignity, inclusion, and well-being.
