“In a multisensory glass passageway, we celebrate and discuss art, inclusion, and our urban space!”
 
How can people celebrate together on equal terms? The collective Your Club Is Not My Club addresses issues of accessibility to music and inclusion in club culture. For the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, its project A GLASS OF WAVES combines its multisensory sound system with the walk-in glass passageway “Syntopian Gobotag” by visual artist Michaela Rotsch to create a mobile club. At freely accessible locations throughout the city, Your Club Is Not My Club offers an ongoing music program as well as workshops, a film screening, and opportunities for experimentation that make the project’s sensory-exploratory approach tangible and experiential. By questioning the conventions of club culture and serving as a medium for transdisciplinary urban research, A GLASS OF WAVES aims to blur the boundary between inside and outside and create a space for exchange between the deaf community and the electronic music community.
