The company ART for ART, set supplier to the Burgtheater and Akademietheater, the Vienna State Opera, and the Volksoper Wien, has around 360 employees and Austria’s largest set workshops. Participants in this extensive tour gain insights into the impressive spaces in the former Arsenal. They visit the painting studios of the set workshops as well as the in-house carpentry, sculpture, metalworking, and upholstery shops. During the subsequent walk through the grounds, participants learn more about the imposing wider complex and its various new and ongoing uses. The tour ends with an introduction to the exhibitions in this year’s Festival Headquarters.
