The BITTERBAR on Margaretenplatz is a new aperitif bar that focuses on local networks. The design by Judith Schafelner and the collaboration with Austrian designers such as Thomas Waidhofer and Klemens Schillinger define the venue's spatial identity. This philosophy extends to the selection of the drink menu: The bar breaks away from the established structures of the beverage industry and instead puts Viennese vermouth and products from regional partners front and center. As the official festival bar of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, the BITTERBAR thus offers a space where local design and independent beverage culture come together.
