With collectible metal designs and a touch of eccentricity, theOZKstudio is pushing (new) boundaries.

They say it’s important to set boundaries. True to this maxim, Istanbul-based theOZKstudio is presenting its new collection in a place where boundaries tend to blur: In his studio at Zieglergasse 77, Paul Troppmair designs typography for global brands and transforms it into tattoos – and, alongside these two disciplines, regularly provides a platform for guest artists. The handcrafted, sculptural metal objects by theOZKstudio thus not only fit perfectly into the concept of the venue where they are presented, but also, much like Troppmair, explore the boundaries between design and functionality. “Boundaries”, the name of the new collection, is characterized by striking forms, tactile surfaces, and surprising details that set (new) boundaries.

Under the label Mixer!, the curatorial team at VIENNA DESIGN WEEK matches locations in Vienna with suitable content, which is presented there in an unusual setting.
