- Guided Tour: 28.9.2026, 5.30pm–7pm
Festivalzentrale
Project manager Alexandra Rauschgold invites adults to embrace their inner child and discover the immersive exhibition TECH TALES.
TECH TALES is an invitation to all parents, guardians, and educators to use contemporary fairy tales and media to help children navigate social challenges such as displacement, identity, disability, and nature conservation, and to create a space for creativity and empathy. In addition to the opportunity to immerse yourself in three different fairy-tale rooms and participate in the activities there, this guided tour will introduce TECH TALES’ wide range of fairy tales and media, as well as the project’s participatory methodology, which incorporates children’s ideas, wishes, and opinions in all areas of the project.
Adults are invited to take the guided tour without children so they can fully immerse themselves in the exhibition and feel like kids again. Children may visit the exhibition with an adult on both weekends of the festival from 11am to 6pm
TECH TALES is a close collaboration among seven partners from six European countries: Institute for Transmedia Design (Slovenia), Art Rebel 9 (Slovenia), FLUX (Montenegro), Art Transparent (Poland), Grupa “Hajde da …” (Serbia), the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (Spain), and the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK as the Austrian partner. TECH TALES is co-funded by the EU program “Creative Europe (2021–2027)” and by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Housing, Arts, Culture, Media, and Sports.
