The new Austrian label issue 9 presents its innovative approach to shoe manufacturing. In a demonstration of its microfactory, the team shows how it produces its circular sneakers. Through 3D printing of the soles and a presentation of the product development process at the Festival Headquarters, the shoe’s adhesive-free construction method is illustrated. Visitors can experience firsthand how holistic sustainability works in practice. The microfactory model is also highly scalable and enables the creation of a decentralized network of local production and repair centers – thereby minimizing transportation distances.
