To mark the centenary of the Augarten Porcelain Manufactory, the Vienna Furniture Museum is highlighting the important role of female actors in the history of the traditional company. Ever since the establishment of the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory in 1924, women have not only worked as traditional porcelain painters, but also appeared regularly as the creators of new forms and designers of new decors.
