Building on the selection of outstanding Austrian product design featured in the format Design Everyday, the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK commissions a strictly limited special edition each year, which is available for purchase at the Festival Headquarters.

What would a traditional Viennese building be without stucco? And what would the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK be without this special STUECK? Drawing inspiration from the facade reliefs so typical of local Gründerzeit buildings, the design studio bonpart has developed a wooden object that can be used as a wall console or bookend, adding an everyday function to what is otherwise a purely decorative ornament. The natural grain of the wood removes the design object from its familiar visual context, transforming it into both an exemplary memento of the anniversary edition and a milestone for the next chapter in the festival’s history.
