In a talk about interior architecture, Bo:IA explores Ella Briggs’ pioneering work in the field and its relevance today, together with authors Elana Shapira and Dörte Kuhlmann.

Ella Briggs, an Austrian-British architect, interior architect, and designer born in 1880, was regarded as a pioneer in her field. On the occasion of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, the Austrian Association of Interior Architects – which is presenting the ELLA BRIGGS Award for the first time this year – is hosting an interior architecture talk. The event will focus on Austria’s first practicing interior architect, her design philosophy, and her relevance to today’s creative scene. Together with Elana Shapira and Dörte Kuhlmann, two of the authors of the book “Finding Ella Briggs!”, the audience will discuss visibility, female perspectives, and inspiration for contemporary interior architecture and design.
