As part of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, Vienna-based designer Oliver Newberry provides insights into an experiment: For his first solo collection “Project HAS – 365 Hockers in One Year”, he is developing pieces of furniture that each represent a unique exploration of form, modularity, and material. Through hand modeling, digital shaping, and an evolving design process, Newberry interprets the simple stool as an experimental object and starting point for further design development. “This project is about process over time – a rhythm that leaves space to explore, revisit ideas, and let the design evolve naturally.” Each design is also produced as a non-fungible token (NFT), allowing supporters to participate in the process right now.
