A deep dive into Slovenian design presents objects as living beings and blurs the boundaries between function, material, and form.

HOUSE OF CREATURES, curated by an interdisciplinary group consisting of Ryan Barriball, Sera Eravci, Urša Gantar, Tine Tribušon, Gašper Uršič, and Vid Žnidaršič, presents contemporary Slovenian design as a living ecosystem in which design objects are portrayed not as static products, but as living beings with their own aura, behavior, and character. HOUSE OF CREATURES showcases works by selected Slovenian designers, spanning a range from furniture, lighting, and fashion to food design, visual communication, and spatial objects. Together, they offer experimental perspectives on design as a living network of relationships, in which questions of function, materiality, imagination, and use are constantly being renegotiated.
