What does a space feel like? What emotions does it evoke? And how can its spatial identity be made visible? Students in the bachelor’s program Interior Design and 3D Design embark on a research journey through the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK Festival Headquarters, which will serve as both a research site and a projection surface. Together with artist Barbara Eichhorn, the students use the frottage technique to explore the space’s atmosphere. This process reveals a sensitive approach to a historic place, demonstrating respect for the existing structure and an immersive examination of its expressive power. The interdisciplinary focus of the master’s program Interior Design and Visual Communication is reflected in the diploma projects of the current graduates.
