For the Hietzing district, Dominik Nostitz is creating soundscapes on the plateau in front of the Festival Headquarters, blending Italian ease, design house, and surprising found objects.  

An open salon for sound, design, and socializing: In front of the entrance to the Festival Headquarters at Hietzinger Kai 101, a temporary open-air salon will be set up for an afternoon and evening. The focus is on a musical program curated by Dominik Nostitz, featuring design house, figurative grooves, electronic sounds, Italian ease, and surprising musical discoveries. Under the specially coined term “DJegno”, these diverse soundscapes are woven together into a musical soundscape. The venue is conceived as a salotto comune – that is, a shared living room in the Hietzing district – blurring the lines between public space, terrace, and living room: visitors, passersby, and neighbors can come here before, during, or after their visit to the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK to linger, listen, and strike up conversations with one another.
