The young joinery company werkstatt1150 is opening its doors for a weekend and inviting interested visitors to look at furniture, prototypes, and the workshop itself. This is located in a rear courtyard in the 15th district, from which it gets its name, and produces solid wooden furniture that combines ecological production with contemporary design. The presentation during the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK shows individual pieces in their place of manufacture, while also offering authentic insights into the everyday world of design and production. Festival visitors are invited to try out the furniture in situ and take part in a short tour during which they will learn more about the situation of a locally active crafts business.
