The Istanbul design studio HOMA has set itself the task of breathing new life into the traditional craft of glassblowing – by combining it with special techniques from the fields of mirror making and glass melting. In the Vienna hotel The Levante Parliament, HOMA is now presenting a selection of virtuoso works of art and functional pieces made from glass, stone, marble, brass, bronze, wood, and clay. The presentation is curated by the creative director and interior architect Tuğba Koç. The showcase is aimed at fans of art and design as well as specialists from the areas of interior architecture and handcraft. In addition, further selected pieces from HOMA that were previously presented at Maison&Objet in Paris and Milan Design Week will be on display at the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK Festival Headquarters.
