Working with wax! Studio VALUN uses the sustainable, reusable, and recyclable material wax to create functional and decorative objects ranging from hand-made sculptural beeswax candles to natural wax crayons with earth pigments. During the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, the concert promoter and studio founder Nina Petermandl invites visitors to a product presentation and cocktails in the new studio in Schottenfeldgasse, where three multifunctional wax objects are being presented. During their visit, members of the festival audience are also invited to bring objects, such as pictures, flowers, leaves, or sand from their last holiday, and immerse them in beeswax. The objects preserved in this manner then become part of an installation in the studio window: Preserve memories!

Participants in the workshop can create and then individually reshape their own candles.
