Selected master’s theses from the Interior Design and Visual Communication program offer new perspectives on the repurposing of existing buildings: An indoor swimming pool becomes a nightclub, a gas station is transformed into a neighborhood gathering place, and the Dobra castle ruins become a place where work and vacation blend. Also on display are a base camp in the Ötztal Alps, a wayside chapel, a gas station for the soul, an identity-forming green space for St. Pölten, a scalable system for urban mushroom cultivation, and design guidelines for women’s soccer stadiums.
