Food, conversation, encounter: LOBMEYR presents six contemporary perspectives on Viennese table culture.

As part of “Vienna Bites”, this year’s focus of the Vienna Tourist Board, LOBMEYR highlights contemporary Viennese hospitality and dining culture and presents six installations by renowned designers and hosts. On display at the historic flagship store on Kärntner Straße are installations by architect Hermann Czech, who designed legendary Viennese restaurants such as the Wunder-Bar, the Kleine Café, and the Salzamt, as well as works by Michelin-starred chef Lukas Mraz, designer Laura Karasinski, London-based event planner Angela Mugnai, Alice Stori Liechtenstein, and Alexandra Winkler, owner of the iconic Hotel Sacher. In various ways, they explore the dining table as it navigates the tension between the necessity of eating, ritual, and a place for gathering and conversation.
