The spatial installation SPIELRAUM revolves around aspects of material research, architectural design, and user interaction and turns the spotlight on the characteristics of the paper-based building material vulcanized fiber. SPIELRAUM encourages visitors to rethink their approach to the conventional materials of our built environment and redirects our attention to alternative sustainable design approaches and to the use of innovative materials in architecture as a means of creating unique, reactive structures.
