TASTE IN TRANSLATION is an ode to taste that emerged out of the collective vision of Studio FREUDE, Felix Reiterer and Simon Pointner. The focus of the presentation is the capturing and visualization of taste-based sensory impressions through the measurement of brain activity. In an interaction between data science and artistic expression, the presentation during the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK translates subtle and personal aspects of taste into a constant stream of new visuals. In the live installation that was realized together with the architect Alexander Ahmad, each individual perception becomes an image that illustrates the tasted object in all its majesty and diversity.
