A modular frame highlights vacant spaces – and showcases the official VIENNA DESIGN WEEK festival shop.

in[frame] is a project by Lara Greussing, Felix Unfried, and Kristine Sonnleitner that explores the potential of vacant ground-floor spaces. At its core is a modular framework that can be flexibly adapted to different spaces and uses. Various modules and add-ons allow for custom configurations and make the system highly versatile. This makes it easy and flexible to put vacant spaces to use. For the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, this system will be used in the shop at the Festival Headquarters: Stocked with selected products such as the Design Everyday edition or rare souvenirs from the Anniversary Tour, the framework creates an open meeting place and demonstrates how existing spaces can be flexibly revitalized and repurposed.

in[frame] is based on the diploma project with which Lara Greussing, Felix Unfried, and Kristine Sonnleitner completed the Interior and Surface Design program at HTL Spengergasse.
