THE VESTIBULE OF SOFT STRUCTURES is an interactive installation by Yelyzaveta Rudenok, developed as part of her Doinshapes project. At its center is a rod-shaped sculpture inspired by the human uvula, which is activated on selected days by short live performances by the artist. The aim of the contribution, realized in collaboration with the Mixer! location IF DOGS RUN FREE, is to promote social contact and question stereotypes through playful interaction. Accordingly, visitors of all ages and genders are invited to hang onto the structure, swing gently on it – and to understand the reinterpretation of the pole as a symbol for perseverance, feminine strength, and embodied intelligence.
