Three coffee cups for three brands: In order to strengthen the corporate identity of its sub-brands, the Salzburg coffee roaster Rafael Schärf asked Barbara Gollackner to develop three different series of crockery. Alongside functional aspects, the main focus of the design are the images of the individual brands and their concentration on regional production. In the Festival Headquarters in the GEWÖLBE, the design process is illustrated, from the first sketch via the different prototypes to the finished piece. The presentation covers a variety of issues – including the complexity of designing small products and the wide range of design outcomes that can result from the same starting point.
