TOUR OF WORKSHOPS IN THE 7TH DISTRICT

Unsichtbares Handwerk

  • Tour: 1.10.2025, 5pm–8pm

Unsichtbares Handwerk (Treffpunkt 1070)

7., Ecke Kandlgasse und Schottenfeldgasse

42

What is the history of craftsmanship in Vienna? And what role does it play today? For several years now, the research project UNSICHTBARES HANDWERK (hidden crafts) has been dedicated to tracing the increasingly invisible craft businesses and their workshops in Vienna. The tour offers insights into craftsmanship, knowledge transfer, and artistic creation, and provides an opportunity to experience work processes firsthand, learn about materials up close, and reflect on the future of craftsmanship in conversation with the craftspeople themselves.

The tour on 1.10. will lead through the 7th district. Visits will be made to Wolfgang Weber’s workshop (turned and milled parts) and the silver manufacturer Jarosinski & Vaugoin.

A binding reservation must be made in advance.

Please be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour.
