Bettina Willnauer introduces participants to the textile art of tufting and guides them in creating their own small wall hangings.

Tufting is a technique for creating three-dimensional textile surfaces, primarily used for carpets. After a brief introduction by textile artist Bettina Willnauer, participants will get hands-on and create small tapestries that they can take home with them. They’ll try out the two machine-based techniques – loop and cut pile – as well as the hand-tufting method using a punch needle, with expert tips for each step.
