What is lying around the next corner for Landstraße? Urban development – and, in particular, the development situation in the Focus District – has always been one of the key themes of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK. This is even more relevant in a year in which the Festival Headquarters is located in a new building that forms part of a noteworthy district development project.

This discussion between planners and experts is seeking to examine the urbanistic horizons for Vienna’s 3rd District and, more specifically, the area around the emerging VILLAGE IM DRITTEN. The subjects under discussion include concrete architectural solutions, the interweaving of existing buildings and new developments, and perspectives between buildings and the neighborhood, the district and the city.
