VIENNA, GIVE YOUR VOICE TO THE DANUBE!

In collaboration with Katja Schechtner and Citizen Nature, the Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart is presenting a campaign concept that highlights the Danube as an urban citizen. Under the guidance of Wolfgang Gruel, the students developed a bold visual identity that breaks with the familiar imagery of sustainability communication. The concept of dual ambassadors conveys the interplay between humans and nature: Pairs such as beavers and builders or dragonflies and artists combine ecological functions with familiar social roles. The logo and complementary concepts for digital communication, political outreach, and participatory formats demonstrate various approaches to communication. 

The VIENNA DESIGN WEEK is presenting this project as part of DONAURAUM, a group of projects that explore the river that defines Vienna.
