A guided tour of Villa Beer and the archive offers insights into Josef Frank’s concept of architecture and design through original furniture and fabrics.
 

At Villa Beer, Josef Frank was able to bring his philosophy on architecture and design to life in a unique way: freedom and individuality rather than rigid geometry, along with a deliberate fusion of tradition and modernity. For Frank, patterns and ornaments were essential elements of design, intended to stimulate the senses and create atmosphere. As part of the tour, participants will also visit the Villa Beer Foundation’s archive. Through historical fabrics from the house and garden and original fabric-printing templates, the group will gain insights into Josef Frank’s design practice and his unique approach to textile design.
