Photography meets object: A poster exhibition showcases the potential of interdisciplinary collaboration between applied photography and industrial design.

The exhibition ZERO AND ONE CHAIRS was created as part of MATCH!, a recurring initiative of the Applied Photography and Time-Based Media program (professor: Maria Ziegelböck) at the University of Applied Arts Vienna that explores the synergistic potential of student teams from different curricula. In collaboration with the Industrial Design Department, led by Stefan Diez, this year’s focus was on the intersection of photography and the object. Particular attention was paid to the relationship with set design, styling, casting, and narrative. The resulting collaborative works are on display on the bulletin boards at the entrance to the Schwanzer wing of the university as well as in the Angewandte Interdisciplinary Lab.
