Virtual & Augmented Reality

Scientific principles are set aside and the unimaginable takes on a visible form. We're floating! Digital locations like the ones at the Kenyon-Pavillon at the festival headquarters in 2018 have been our gateways to new worlds, simultaneously serving as conceptual spaces and returning social, moral, and aesthetic questions to the real world. How does the programed cosmos alter our perception and understanding of natural environments? In the focus format Virtual & Augmented Reality, approaches from the fields of art, architecture, and gaming have been moved into the 3-D visual field and illustrate how the latest technologies can be employed as tools for design for the purpose of shaping a dialogue. A thrilling navigation between physical, virtual, and augmented realities.
