For its 2025 Festival Headquarters, the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK opened the impressive workshop halls and showrooms of a former car dealership in Vienna’s 4th district.

As the heart of one of Europe’s leading curated design festivals, the Festival Headquarters once again played a central role. In addition to the carefully selected exhibitions, installations, and events presented there over ten autumn days, the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK used this architecturally striking interim location to offer a fresh perspective on Vienna’s urban history and development.

In keeping with the site’s layered past – from the traditional guest garden “Zur grünen Weintraube” to the boldly curved hall designed in the 1950s by the architectural firm Löschner & Helmer – hospitality was, of course, not neglected. Visitors enjoyed a festival café and infopoint, as well as parties and get-togethers that made the space come alive.

The doors to the Festival Headquarters were generously opened to the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK by JP Immobilien.
