FOKUS: Ageing

To provide a platform for sculptural, experimental, and conceptual approaches to object design, the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK launched the group exhibition format FOKUS in 2022. Each year, international and local submissions on a changing theme are reviewed by guest curators, who select the works to be presented together in the Festival Headquarters.

A key element of the format is a specially commissioned spatial scenography that unites the selected objects and allows them to unfold their full effect. This year’s exhibition design was created by the internationally renowned set designers Hannah Oellinger and Manfred Rainer, with exhibition graphics by Linnea Lindgren and Anna Rich.
