Re:Form 2025

Sustainability through Design and Strategy! Re:Form brings together design, strategic development, and Viennese businesses to explore ecologically and socially responsible approaches to doing business. Launched by the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK in 2023 in cooperation with OekoBusiness Wien, the City of Vienna’s environmental service program (MA22 – Environmental Protection), the format creates flagship projects that demonstrate how sustainable design and strategic economic implementation can help make the city fit for the future.

In 2025, the focus once again lay on collaboration between companies and design studios – this time to develop sustainably conceived product ideas. The new Re:Form co-funding program by OekoBusiness Wien enabled designers to contribute their expertise to companies not only through project work but also in advisory roles. Particularly outstanding projects developed within this framework were given the opportunity to present their results as part of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK.

At the center of this year’s edition were three product design projects:
