Festivals have always been places of experience and encounter. They created informal spaces and safe environments for exchange and understanding. In this spirit, the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK’s diverse mediation program took visitors of all ages by the hand and offered opportunities to experience, explore, or discuss design together.

From classic guided tours through the Festival Headquarters to insider tours of hidden locations, the program offered dozens of opportunities for collective experiences. A special focus was placed on activities for schools and children, introducing young audiences to the concept of design in an accessible and engaging way.

In short, the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK’s mediation program brought design exactly where it was needed most – to the people.
