Festival Headquarters 2024
For the first time, the now grown-up (18!) VIENNA DESIGN WEEK is moving into a new building – into a headquarters that offers the freedom for one thing in particular to happen: a successful introduction to the festival. There’s a reason why the annually itinerant location is seen as the heart of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, a meeting place for visitors, and a gateway to the world of design. With its infopoint, festival café, and carefully compiled contributions and program items, the Festival Headquarters in DOCKS, which was designed by ARTEC Architekten and is impressive in terms of more than just size, is a place for everyone. The building stretching along Landstraßer Gürtel is the first completed part of the so-called VILLAGE IM DRITTEN. Apartments, offices, and educational facilities are being built around the new park that lies at the heart of the eleven-hectare site. This is the starting point from which the program of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK is addressing the evolution of the neighborhood and the characteristics of the entire district.
As always, entrance to the Festival Headquarters is free!
The doors to the Festival Headquarters have been generously opened for the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK by ARE Austrian Real Estate, following networking by Kreative Räume Wien.
