Passionswege

With its format Passionswege, the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK ever since its beginnings has brought together international and Austrian designers with Viennese production companies with the curating support of the festival team. 2015 led to seven such collaborations, both in the inner city and in the focus district of Favoriten, to all kinds of workshops – some of high-street glamour, some of rear courtyard charm. The Passionswege represent an approachment with outcomes each year that signalize the face-to-face encounter between manufacturing firms and designers, engagement with knowledge sharing, acceptance of comments, and a mutual look into the future and back to the treasures of the past.
